Free Children's Orthopaedic Clinic Share
The Robinson Elks Lodge, in cooperation with the Illinois Elks Children's Care Corporation, will sponsor a FREE diagnostic orthopaedic clinic for children on Thursday, September 3, 2009. The clinic is from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and is conducted by appointment only. The clinic is primarily for children with bone, joint, and back problems, but will provide a limited review for other medical treatments. Specific information and an appointment for the clinic may be obtained by calling the Program's office at 1-800-272-0074. Please call between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Arden Sackrider and Connie Carter, Co-Chairmen of the local Elks Lodge Committee, stated that the clinic will be held at CMH Bone & Joint Center, located in Suite C of the CMH South Medical Office Building at 1000 North Allen Street in Robinson. The general public is invited to participate in the clinic which will be conducted by Dr. Pete Stavrides, Orthopaedic Surgeon, and Anthony Rose, PA-C Orthopaedic Physician Assistant. Children with orthopaedic problems, including those who have been examined at previous clinics and those physically handicapped in any way are invited to attend for evaluation. Persons up to 21 years of age are welcome to attend. They should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Family physicians are invited to send patients they feel might benefit from this service, as well as patients needing physical therapy. School nurses are urged to refer any physically challenged child within their area.

The Elks of Illinois are sponsoring 68 clinics in 17 Lodge areas this year. Such clinics were started 81 years ago. They have provided medical care, operations, prosthesis, and physical therapy during most of this period. there are no charges for services rendered at this clinic. for more information, please call 1-800-272-0074.
